How to get here:

We are in the Shepherd Park neighborhood of Washington DC. From the Washington Beltway (I-495) exit Georgia Avenue South to right on 16th Street. Continue about 1.7 miles to OSTT on your right.

From downtown Washington, you can head straight out 16th Street. The shul is about 6 miles from the White House. Click for MAP

The nearest Metro station is in downtown Silver Spring. There are three ways to reach the shul from the Silver Spring Metro Station:

1. By Taxi: Immediately upon exiting the station, turn right and head up the hill using either stairway. At the top of the hill, across a small plaza is the circular roadway where the taxi stand is located. Ask the driver to take you the 16th and Jonquil Streets NW in the District of Columbia (the station and the taxi stand are in the State of Maryland). The distance to the shul is about 1 mile.

2. By Bus: After exiting the station, continue straight out toward the bus stop area. Head toward the third bus shelter in the middle island. The shelter should be marked "S2 S4" (if you can't find it ask someone to direct you to the bus stop for the S4 bus). The station is the beginning of the southbound line. Take the S4 bus (and that bus only) down Colesville Road to 16th Street NW and then south on 16th Street about 1/2 mile to the bus stop on 16th Street located between Juniper and Jonquil Streets (the shul is located on the corner of 16th and Jonquil Streets, NW - this is the 7600 Block of 16th Street NW). The bus stop is on the opposite end of that block near the intersection of 16th and Juniper Streets, NW.

3. On foot: Immediately upon exiting the station turn left and walk towards the street (Colesville Road). As you approach the street make another left, going under the station and the tracks. Continue straight on Colesville Road (you will pass an Exxon station ahead and to your left as you go) across the street and down a hill until you approach a traffic circle. This is the intersection with 16th Street, NW. Make a left (south) on 16th Street and continue in that direction until you reach the shul, which is approximately 1/2 mile from the traffic circle on your right.
