Here we look down the center aisle of the 700-seat Main Sanctuary. The Sixteenth Street entrance is behind this view, and the hallway entrance (where we began this tour) is at the right, although not shown in this picture. Men are seated in the center seats, while women's seating is behind the mehitzas on either side. In addition to use for religious services, the Sanctuary is popular for large lectures, weddings, and other events.
