Youth & Family Programs

Ohev Sholom - The National Synagogue┬« is blessed to have a vibrant and growing youth community. We have created a wide variety of programming, events, and learning that are aimed at our youth and their families, including weekly learning, Shabbat groups, and a vibrant summer camp. High Holidays Programs

Babysitting On-site, available for children ages 4 & under on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The cost is $25 per child, per day. Pre-registration is required.

High Holiday Experience Ohev's free Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur youth group is available for children ages 5 & up. Pre-registration is requested.

Yom Kippur Camp An afternoon (noon-4 pm) Yom Kippur program available for children ages 5 & up. The cost is $30 per child. Pre-registration is required.

    Bar/Bat Mitzvah Informational Session for Parents

    Wednesday, Jan 30th 7:45p to 8:45p
    Please join us for an informational session on everything you need to know to plan your child's bar or bat mitzvah. Maharat Friedman, Rabbi Herzfeld, and Sarah Shapiro will provide a timeline of how to plan, and an overview of all of the logistical and ritual components. The session is intended for families planning a bar or bat mitzvah in 2019-2020, but all are welcome.

    Join us for a Shabbat gathering for families with young children (pre-K and under), with a kid-friendly dinner and Shabbat-themed, age-appropriate, educational fun with our clergy, staff, and a guest teacher.
